The End Terminal Berries, connected to the metal barriers located on both sides of the roads, are designed with an advanced system that absorbs shock in the event of a collision from multiple sides and angles, as stipulated in third-level MASH test standards.
Complete mash tests have been conducted for the third level, and Shwahid has begun manufacturing the product in its Saudi factories according to the standards of the American Association of Highway and Transportation Employees for the Saudi road code that is compatible with the Saudi Ministry of Transport.
The system also aims to protect drivers from damage to guardrail barriers during an accident, which helps absorb the shock of the vehicle and redirect it to the road in a safe manner.
How to Operate the End Terminal Berries System:
Guardrail terminal ends are installed on the sides of roads without the need for concrete bases and consist of 8 posts.
Upon impact, the front of the end terminal systems recoils back to gradually reduce the vehicle speed while redirecting it back onto the road, and the barrier exits the far side of the road, turning around itself to protect vehicles on the road.
The pillars fixed along the length of the barrier in the guardrail terminal ends break during the collision when the front of the vehicle reaches them, causing the vehicle to stop and return to its lane, protecting drivers from getting hurt.
The Features of the End Terminal Berries System:
- Saudi domestic industry.
- Compliant with crash test standards.
- The front face has reflective films.
- Increasing visibility at night and clarifying road boundaries.
- Doesn’t need a concrete base.
- Shawahid’s special team is available to install and maintain the system easily.
